Urban Wins Two 2015 Hermes Creative Awards

We are thrilled to share that Urban Video’s work has been recognized with two 2015 Hermes Creative Awards. The international competition – overseen by the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals (AMCP)- recognizes outstanding work in the concept, writing and design of traditional and emerging media.

There were over 6,000 entries this year with only 15% awarded the top honour of Platinum, which we won! Our City Manager’s Awards of Excellence videos were awarded Platinum in the event category. We were thrilled to have partnered with Raffaella Loro and Sarah Lysakowski and the rest of the City of Edmonton team in the creation of 15 videos that profiled each of the organization’s nominees in its employee recognition program. We were hired to produce a profile that was a little out of the box, that combined both interesting and beautiful imagery, while also capturing those genuine sound bites that convey the pride these nominees take in their jobs.

Platinum Winner
City of Edmonton Manager Awards

Gold Winner
Almita Piling Corporate Video

We also won Gold for our Almita Piling video in the category of Product Marketing. Our collaboration with Rich Hiron and Sandra Thornton was a smashing success and we really loved the end result of our animated and super imposed graphics. We went for a modern style of soundtrack and voiceover that perfectly married industry and tech.

Honorable Mention
Fork Saskatchewan Tax Talk Series

It doesn’t end there either. We also received a Honourable Mention for our Tax Talk talk show series we produced with the City of Fort Saskatchewan, and a very special group of grade four students that shared their thoughts on municipal taxes, and how they believe the City’s tax dollars should be spent. It was utterly adorable and one of the funnest production days to date!

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of our wonderful clients in 2014. Every project is a collaboration, and we are happy to share this recognition with you.
