We won FOUR AVA Digital Awards! Yes you read that right. We have been recognized with two Platinum and two Gold Awards.
AVA Digital Awards is an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, direction, design and production of digital communication. Judged by the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals (AMCP), this year’s competition received over 2,500 entries from around the globe. And we are just so thrilled to be recognized.
Where it all starts: Rural Alberta
“Where it All Starts: Rural Alberta with AAMDC” won TWO platinum awards! We are honoured to have been recognized in both the Writing and Informational categories. This project was a unique spin on the typical, informational video and we were so lucky to have visited so many beautiful places across Alberta. It was even more exciting to see AAMDC incorporate “Doug” into their fall convention. Big thanks to the Rural Alberta Development Fund for its support in funding the project.
YOUCAN Youth Services: Anthony’s Story
In 2015, we worked with YOUCAN Youth Services on a video profile of one of its youths, Anthony. We were so grateful when Anthony and his mother opened up to us with their story of when Anthony was in a dangerous cycle of drugs and prison, and how YOUCAN and one of its Relentless Youth Workers gave him the support he needed to remove himself from harm’s way. We are delighted to have it recognized with Gold in the Fundraiser Category.
Experience Realty: This is Home
We were also awarded Gold in the Market Product Category for “This is Home” a real estate video we produced for Experience Realty. This project was such a blast. We are often crafting stories about people, companies, industries, communities, but we have never been asked to create a story about a house before. And that is precisely what we did for 126 River Heights.
On behalf of Urban Video, I would like to take a moment and thank our clients at AAMDC, YOUCAN and Experience Realty. It is because of you and your creativity, and your eagerness to try edgy, out-of-the-box concepts that we are able to do what we do.
